Hi https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-49hrLY6y0 I wish to make video like this which knowledge do I need to acquired. As beginner, I not sure if they use 3D but it seem too realistic to be just a di-cut
Those cats are not CG, those are real cats on greens screens and comped in to the footage. That's a lot of VFX work more than CGI. You can learn all that stuff, it will just require sacrifices of time and probably monetary as well. As long as you have grit, determination and a mentality for long term goals, you can do anything.
It's a professional and relatively expensive shoot - actors, locations, make-up, props, catering and crew. This IS NOT a solo project. If you want to direct then you don't need the technical hands on VFX skills you think you need. Honestly, if you want to be involved with something like that you're better off trying to get a job as a runner in a film or VFX company while developing an achievable skillset in parallel. It's probably not what you want to hear, or perhaps have even considered, but a more fundamental design skillset with a scripting/production background is what will get you closer to working on/making something like this
Thank you for all your answer, i will work hard. I didn't plan to do everything from scratch currently I learn the basic track of everything. I will put most attention to Animation part and VFX related. and know little of everything therefore when i watching people do in youtube tutorial i understanding what they do. I feel great to choose CG cookie as my first Sensai. solid learning track and great community
