Could someone explain what the colors are that we see in baking modes? Is there a significance to this purple color in normals baking mode? And derivative is a sort of lime green.

    The three colors represent the x, y, z normal vectors. Normal maps usually are used to fake a high resolution mesh on what is actually a low resolution mesh.
