I've been a CG cookie member for a long time, but never active in the community
I decided recently to become more serious in my blender practice and also to stop practicing alone in my corner and start talking with other blender users ... 😁
So I was wondering, do you have a good tutorial about Blend modes to suggest to me ? I don't think there is such a tutorial on CG cookie, and the info is thus scattered among different tutorial.
There is of course the blender documentation, but a visual explanation with exemples would be welcome to know precisely "which mode is useful for this or that situation"

you'll know most of what you need to know about the blend modes already.
It depends on what you are doing in Blender of course, but most blend modes are rarely used (I think I only use Mix, Add, Multiply, Linear Light and Overlay and don't even know what the others do exactly).
For a visual explanation you can look at Photoshop tutorials about blending, or buy the Cycles Encyclopedia (for instance available here: https://www.blendermarket.com/products/the-cycles-encyclopedia ), but it's usually just showing what happens if you blend two images and not telling you when to use which blend mode.
