Vertex Colors

Question

Hi,

I've been trying for 2h at this point to get my Vertex Colors to appear in Substance Painter. The reason I'm writing here is because I concluded that my model is the issue. How did I get to this conclusion:

- tested with a cube (the settings for export and baking in Painter stay the same, so the problem's not there)

- tested with other bought models

- tested with other models from my collection

Every test worked just fine.

UVs are checked and packed.

Triangulation is done.

Scale and all of that is applied.

No matter what I do, the ID map (in Painter) shows up white (As if I never assigned Vertex Colors to any faces).

Do you guys have any other suggestions? ThanksScreenshot_7.png

I have never used Painter, didn't even know you could export vertex colors. But if it's the model, which it clearly sounds like it, only two blunt ideas occur to me. First maybe it's not the model but the .blend file itself. So many time I've solved glitches and bugs by copy pasting all my models from one file to another and on that new file everything works fine. Second, if it's the model the model itself, the object, maybe redo it? Add a new object and model those stairs again, but before modeling all the way see if exporting it from the beginning works well, then model a little more and then a little more while testing to see if it exports right.

    Sorry for the late reply!

Yes, you were right, had to re-do the model.
