Looks like this has been mentioned before and was noted 2 months ago that the file had been updated... But I don't have the "baked room" in the blend file. I only see the "baked gizmo".

Same here, no "baked room" image.

I chose not to include the baked image texture. It's setup for you to easily bake yourself, applying what you learned from the video.

I wish you had mentioned this choice in the video. The unmentioned difference in expectations between the video and the file caused a slow down and frustration. Great tutorial otherwise.

I'm sorry but I can't figure it out. There is no 'bake room' image file, so i create on per instruction. Then when I try to bake I get this message :No active image found in material "red" 1 for Object "Plane." I don't even know where to begin. Help?
  • glenn replied
OK, Object "Plane" appears to be the room. (confusing name for a room) After Plane.002 (?) in the Outliner there are four little sphere icons, I assume they are materials. Unless all four have 'bake room' texture applied then the bake fails. And when all four are checked the generated texture is brown, quite unlike the video. What is wrong? I don't have the background to troubleshoot other's work. Thank you.

It works! I failed to remember to work in Object mode while baking. It is also important to make sure each of the room's four assigned materials each has an image texture node. This does not happen automatically as it does in the gizmo object and its materials.
