Help Needed: Controlling Particle Emission Timing in Blender

Question Animation

Hi,

I am new to blender and 3d modeling, I'm working on an animation with a character walking in a desert, and I want to emit dust particles from their feet at specific points in the animation. I've successfully set up particle emissions, but I'm unsure how to make the same emitter object ( which is character’s shoes) start emitting particles at multiple frame ranges. Seeking advice on this workflow in Blender. Thanks!

    Hi Sama,

That sounds like a complicated thing to do with Blender's (old) Particle System; you might need to set up a Particle System for each time a foot hits the sand...

You'd probably have a better chance, using GN (Simulation Nodes).

But anyway, be aware that it is not beginner stuff you're trying to do here.

As Martin says, it's not a beginner task and not a thing you can just type on a few sentences here. There's a couple of courses that might help you out:

Thank you, Martin and Omar. I have tried searching for tutorials, but as you both mentioned, it is not a beginner's task. Perhaps I will give it another try in the future.
