Is it normal to normalize the view when there is a lot going on in the graph editor or just in general or is that only sometimes to get a better picture of what is going on with the curves? Does the refresh button next to it change the value and the way the line is displayed? Keeping both changes in sync? The normalizing section went over my head a little bit at about 7:20
I think I was at least grasping the rest of the concepts.
It really personal preference if you want to normalise the view. Basically it will just change the way it is displayed to fit on the screen.
It can be deceptive though, you might think you have a rather large change, but because the view is normalised it's not large at all.
I never used to normalise the view, but now I do it quite often.
And yes, the sync button will automatically refresh the view if you make changes.
Hope that makes sense.
