separating duplicates

For my project I thought it'd be cool to do something slightly different by adding a side cartridge. Problem is that it's still tethered to the console and don't know to separate it into it's own independent object. You can see the broken line connecting the 2 objects and idk what to do. Any suggestions? Been googling and trying to understand but I don't. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/mn0epm7ifj5cte8g8sfdp/console2-part2.blend?rlkey=dqsyglor01y6rstgd9novtpdo&dl=0

    Hey Skyler,

Those Cartridges are separate Objects, but they are Parented to the Console. Select Both and press ALT+P > Clear Parent (Keep Transformation keeps them in the same place, so you don't 'lose' them):

But maybe you want to keep the Parenting on the smaller Cartridge...

Also your origin points are all over the place. You can go into edit mode and select the bottom faces of the cartridge, then with that selection Shift + S and cursor to selected. Then in object mode right click and Origin to 3D cursor. That way your origin point is on a place more intuitive.
