Placing a camera's view onto the background of a comic book panel

posted to: Lesson 2: Penciling
Is there a way to: 1. Model a background model in Blender (like a room or a hill or whatever) 2. Point a camera at the model (framing it in the camera view) 3. Put that "camera view" onto a plane that is behind the lines in a panel Sort of like using the "camera view" as a green screen behind the grease pencil lines. Not just an image plane but a "camera view" so that you can adjust the angle, distance, aperture and so on. That would REVOLUTIONIZE doing 2D art in Blender

Short answer: it *can* be done; slightly longer answer: I would recommend setting up a separate scene for each panel you wish to do this for, use the Lineart modifier to generate the inks, and composite in final render. To set this up so that each panel would peer through into a separate (or even linked) scene could create some unwieldy workflows, or worse, make your computer grind to a halt, depending on the complexity of the scene!
