at 15:00 why can't deleting the interior vertices be automatic?

When you make the cloud shape I see you are deleting the interior vertices of the cloud manually, leaving only the outline. Is there a way for Blender to automatically tell whether a vertex is interior and delete them automatically?

    Hi Erik,

I don't think that is possible in Blender; it's a computer program, not a human (or AI) and Blender doesn't know what is 'inside'.

You can add some thickness to your cloud (Solidify Modifier, maybe), add an open Cylinder around it and Shrinkwrap that to the cloud.

Apply the Shrinkwrap Modifier and delete half of the Vertices and you got yourself a cloud without the inner Verts.

I don't think that is easier/faster/better than simply Deleting the inner Vertices by hand like in the Tutorial.

There's addons in the Blender Market that might help, they detect things like interior faces, non manifold, Ngon, triangles and all that stuff for you. You can browse the market and see if any interests you.
