When I go to inset the faces of the cartridge the faces aren't staying together. They are turning into individual squares. Is this a selection issue? Thanks
If you press I, you activate the Inset, if you then press I again, it toggles between insetting the 'region' and insetting the individual Faces:

One really helpful thing when you're using a tool in Blender is to keep an eye on the top and the bottom on the UI, it will display a list of extra things the tool can do and it's usually a great way to troubleshoot and find out why the tool is behaving a certain way.
So I adjusted my inset settings to make sure that matched with the videos and I am still having the same issues...I have included the screenshot of what it should look like. I am close to just starting fresh haha
Did you try the good old: A (select 'All'), M > Merge > By Distance trick?

Yes, starting fresh is always a good idea. Your brain will complain and go into freak out mode, but don't listen to it. It's like a cat when you want to give it a bath, it will freak out but you know what's best for him.
