(Guide box): The wireframe box we create and loop cut, and position, as a 'guide' for the mouth.
Yup just as my title states. I have my guide box made, am fairly certain I followed all steps correctly but for whatever reason, my guide box ends up being grabbed instead of the head mesh. I am not sure what is happening here. I will edit this message if I figure it out.
Edit: Not 100 percent sure about this, but it seems that I needed to press alt-m still back when I was in layout, after that it seems to work fine. If I start from the beginning of the whole process again in the future I will try to add confirmation.
Thanks for the responses all. @theluthier, that wasn't the issue. My selection was always on the mesh but for whatever reason if I didn't use alt-m in layout before entering sculpt mode (regardless of what object was selected) it would cause this issue. @Dostovel Unfortunately I'm passed the point in which I can see that in my current project, but I will try to pull up my old saves to see if I can replicate the issue. And by guide box I mean, the wireframe box we create and loop cut as a 'guide' for the mouth. I'll go ahead and add that to my original comment to reduce confusion. Thanks again, both of you.
I have the same problem going forward of sculpting the mouth, but selecting the same layer and trying to sculpt and nothing moves for me, please help.
Thanks,
