I'd like to add some transparency to the rings as you have in the renders above, can you point me in the direction of how to achieve this? Thanks!

Hi Tyrefryer - simply move the Base Color input into the Alpha socket at the bottom of the Principled BSDF. The black areas of the ring texture will be transparent while the white are opaque. Then you can use the base color swatch to pick a color for your ring.
