Problem with curved corners after applying bevel

I need help with solving this problem. As you can see on the image some curved parts of the base shape after applying bevels got sharp edges ( left and right side and top and bottom all has a same problem). What's wrong with my vertexes and how can i resolve this issue? Thanks for your time. Here's a visual presentation of the issue

    Hi Kamil CCamVanZek ,

Have you tried (in Edit Mode):

Select everything and M > Merge By Distance, followed by SHIFT+N to fix the Normals of your Mesh.

...and there is also this, if you're fast:

Also the good old, have you applied the scale? You know, I think it's time we did some flash card with common solutions that we can share.

  • Martin Bergwerf replied

    Yeah, Scale was Applied, Omar

Unfortunately, missed office hours, will try next time. Thank you spikeyxxx for your reply. Tried your approach to Select everything and M > Merge By Distance, followed by SHIFT+N to fix the Normals but doesn't work (no change in corner area and also distort other meshes ie. rectangular buttons

    CCamVanZek ,

Could you upload your .blend file to a filesharing service (like Dropbox, Googledrive, or so) and post a link here? Then we can have a look at what's causing this.

  • Kamil Wanzek(CamVanZek) replied

spikeyxxx Of course, I can. Here's a link to a google drive where you find a blender file. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PGrUoztidbpwdRzr7sdP7jIi9HSoeROg/view?usp=sharing

It's just that you had double vertices there. You can just select everything and M to merge by distance and it'll all be fixed.

You can usually tell you have double vertices if when you select a vert, the edge next to it doesn't get highlighted in selection orange color:

dostovel Thank you so much. You were right about double vertices but for a couple of minutes, I couldn't select the second point in the same place. Finally find a solution, when I enable unselected in the Merge menu. Also, huge thanks for the tip about orange lines when selecting vertices. Really appreciate it.

You can also select two Vertices that are on top of eachother, by switching to Wireframe Mode (Z > Wireframe) and box select (or circle select, or lasso select) or you can select everything with A (be careful that you don't Merge too much this way).
