Can't bevel the back grills

When I try to change the mean bevel weight of the edges on the back, it doesn't show the bevel, and it deletes the bevel on all my other buttons. Even at the smallest setting of 0.01. Why is it doing this?

Also, when I turn a bevel weight up too high, all the bevels get super small. Changing the bevel size in the object modifier also does nothing. I can turn it to 500cm with no difference

Hi Parker that sounds like you have Clamp Overlap enabled in the Bevel Modifier (it's enabled by default):

Also make sure that the Scale of your model is Applied; in Object Mode: CTRL+A > Apply > Scale.

And if you run into any modeling problems, select everything in Edit Mode, (A) and then M > Merge > By Distance, followed by SHIFT+N, to re-calculate your Normals.

I also highly recommend taking this course before Press Start:

And also other things, if your object is too small, you will need the longest of decimal points to see some effect of the bevel, be sure your dimension are not almost subatomic. And another thing that often happens is that people will fiddle with the crease but to it in the vertex date, not the edge data, be sure you're doing it in the correct one, because one being on top of the other can be confusing.

Thanks Martin, it was the clamp overlap. I did do that intro course before starting this one. Lots of great info in there!
