When I use the scroll button on my mouse during the process at 10:10 all it does is scroll in and out it does not make more cut loops have I got a setting wrong somewhere?
Because of this I am unable to carry on with the lesson as you say to move the cuts and if I make them seperately I cannot move them.
Hi James BBolisaris ,
When you press CTRL+R and hover over an Edge, it hisghlights, where the cut is going to be made, this is the moment where you can scroll the mouse wheel to increase/decrease the number of cuts. When you now left click or press Enter once, the loop(s) is (are) placed, but you can still slide them, left clicking (or Enter) again fixates the loop(s) at the current position, If you scroll now, you zoom in or out. The number of cuts can't be changed anymore by scrolling. You can still press F9 to change the number of cuts, but do that immediately before doing anything else, or you lose that ability as well.
No! This is not happening to me, I selected the tool from the toolbar (maybe this is the problem as I have not tried the Ctrl R method yet) and hovered over the box then without clicking on anything else I use the middle buttom but all I get is the zooming effect.
Also is there a way to stop the SESSIONS Is Available Now window from appearing all the time this is very annoying and offputting.
Just tried this with Ctrl+R and it works fine, cannot imagine why it does not work from the toolbar but as long as it works with the hotkey (if I can remember them all that is) I am happy. Thanks for the help
