Kent, how do you achieve the gizmo_normal image that you use here, one that has the scratches within? For my dear life I cannot figure out how to have the scratches image included in the normals image and not just a plain purple image of sorts, if you get me? Great tuts otherwise, much appreciated!

    Thanks for watching! If you've seen the sci-fi helmet shading course (https://cgcookie.com/lesson/painted-metal-wear-tear/) I used the same technique from that lesson to layer the scratches together with photograph textures and Cycles nodes. Then I baked all the scratch detail into it's own normal map.
