This isn't working for me. I can see you're in object mode when you paint, but when I'm in object mode, I don't see the outline of the UV map in the UV editor, whether or not I have to object selected in the 3d view. If I'm in edit mode I can see the UV outline in the 2D editor, but my paint doesn't appear on the model whether or not I have anything/everything selected in the 3D editor. I've been following along exactly up to this point so I don't know what is different that's making it suddenly not work. As far as I can see from the video, all my settings are exactly the same as yours. I'm using 2.75.
