Same issue, different result

Hi!

I applied the solidify modifier, I have everything connected as in the video, but I don't get the same result as Jonathan. I've also bumped up the values on Glossy and Transmission. Is there anything else to check?

    It can be that everything is working fine, just that you don't have anything interesting to reflect. Try adding an HDRI to the world environment and see how the material behaves when it has stuff all around to reflect and refract.

    I do have an HDRI added. Scene lights and scene world are also checked. I will try messing around with the settings and see if anything changes.

    I still think is an environment issue. Maybe remove the ground plane so that it only has the environment left and there's no other choice but reflect it. In any case, you can share the file if all else fails, so it's easier to troubleshoot.

    Sorry for taking up your time. It seems the plane was obstructing my view and I couldn't see the sphere. I am not used to the shading tab. Everything's ok now. Thanks

    Yes, a plane was obstructing the view. Quite literally "Elementary!".
