Hi,
I've been using Blender over the past year and all of a sudden the workspace behaviour seems to have changed and it's driving me crazy. I'm currently using 3.4
There's 2 things:
1) CTRL+TAB pie menu used to bring up all modes but now Object and Edit modes are missing (they toggle on TAB).
2) I used to be able to scale the side panels using the same zoom as in the viewport area but now nothing happens (I use a tablet with emulate middle mouse button enabled).
It seems like little things but it keeps slowing me down and I don't know how to get the behaviours back.
For number 1, probably you enabled something in the Edit -> preferences, under keymap. One of this three, most probably Tab for pie menu.
For number two, the way I have always zoomed the menus is by control + middle mouse click. I think even for using a tablet is the same thing, control + whatever button you have on the table for zooming.
Hope it helps.
Yay! Fixed, thank you. I think it changed because I opened up a Z-anatomy file. I think it loaded the keymap preferences along with it and they stuck. Bit weird but it's fixed now (including the zoom on panels)
Thank you!
Hey James!
When you open a file you can uncheck Load UI and it will keep your preferred UI settings.
You'll find it in the file view window on the right panel, click the cog to open the panel.
or you can uncheck this in the preferences and every file you load will use your Blender UI settings.
Thank you!
That's really helpful. You think you're getting somewhere with Blender .....and then it throws you a curve ball!
