Tim S strides into Blender training... Unafraid! ;)

Polybooks

Hi All,

I've just started here, so please be gentle with me!

I'm a traditional and digital artist, and for many years now I've wanted to try digital modelling and sculpting.

I'm been playing around in Zbrush on and off for a few months now, and have been enjoying sculpting there. However, I also needed to tackle a bit of polygon modelling, and soon became very frustrated trying to get to grips with ZModeller in ZBrush. How anyone uses that thing I will never know!

So.. I thought the time had come to attempt to learn Blender!

I've currently just started on the Fundamentals Of 3D Mesh Modelling class here, after working through the Basics class.

So... here is my absolute first Blender project! It's really my "Snowman" primitive exercise. As it turns out, I got a bit carried away, once I got started. I really don't know where this little guy came from, but it was fun, and made entirely from primitives. I know, it's almost child-like, but I have learned so much from just this one exercise. I can't wait to continue.

I'm knocked out by Jonathan's teaching. Fabulous stuff!

Thanks for indulging an absolute Noob.

Regards to all,

Tim.
