Cycles

Hello, Can I still use cycles to render this ?

Thanks :)

    Solution

You can use Cycles, The lighting will be different when you get to that stage, you wont need to add the irradiance volume and bake the indirect lighting like with Eevee.
You may also come across some material shader problems you may need to resolve.

But Yes you can render in Cycles with some minor adjustments.

Remember though, with this project, we use volumetric fog that will give you pretty slow render times.
And it probably won't look much different.

Eevee would be the better option for this course.

Can I ask why you wish to use Cycles over Eevee?

I bet it's because Jean-Yan hates the hack nature of Eevee. That used to happen to me when I started using it.

Eevee always requires hacks but, man, the render time savings are sooo worth it (as long as it still looks good obviously).

Going back to Cycles is so nice after hacking through Eevee. Everything just...works!
