Scattershot greys object

Whenever I use scattershot, the image won't show up but the object will become completely grey. Any idea why that is?

I can't be totally sure without checking out the file, but my guess is that it's scattered using UVs and the object doesn't have UVs. Try selecting the scatter node then using the scatter operator on it to re-scatter with tri-planar mapping instead.

Tri planar mapping does indeed do something. I'm not really sure why the other option (Scatter images) did not work. Could you explain that please?

The default mapping for Scatter Images is UV mapping. If the object doesn't have UVs or if the UVs are messed up, then you'll get a blank or distorted result. Tri-planar mapping isn't based on UVs and instead projects the texture from the local X, Y, and Z axes, so it will work in the cases that the first does not.

After downloading latest version of blender it worked :). Seemed to be an older version problem.
