Why should I use BI instead of cycles? I've been getting into low poly artwork, and I learned that while in cycles I can just make a color on the materials panel and apply it, but BI looks like it has way more options.
BI can deliver render results much faster than Cycles. Especially for NPR (non photo-realistic) tasks. Cycles is a far more realistic/accurate renderer. It completely depends on what you're trying to render.
Ahh ok, I think I will stay in cycles for my low poly stuff since I've already made like 20 models in it I plan to use in a scene. It appears that if I make a material in cycles, it doesn't transfer over to BI, so I would having to make my 60+ materials all over again even though they are simple.
