Why an Animation for the Screen, rather than an image?

Why did we use an animation on the screen, rather than a static image, when the final render is a static image? Was it just as a demonstration of how you could put an animation in or something else?

    Hi Alex,

Now you can choose the exact Frame you want to Render as a static Image, or Render it as an animation, if you want to.

But you are right, if you are going to Render an Image, you could use a (static) Image for the screen.

Plus making an animation is always more fun. But yeah, there's no wrong answer, it'll all depend on what you are trying to achieve. And as you say, the cool things is that if you wanted to make an animation, then the screen is already animated.

Does CG cookies have a tutorial on how to do a video render with the animation playing? I have plans of added a custom animation to the screen. Also; if I wanted to post the final model render on my Ticktock or Instagram is there a copyright issue in using this model that I should be aware of?

  • Omar Domenech replied

No copyright issue that I'm aware of for those purposes. Everyone posts the results of their educational training online.

If you wanted to have an animation on the screen, JL goes through this on this lesson.
