should the stretch of the torso happens when the body is lower like the down and passing position?

Trying to understand when i should add squash and stretch to the torso. Would the torso be stretching as the body lowers then squash as it raises in like the up and contact position?

    Awesome, and does the neck drag and overlap with the head or does it only move side to side? in the video i only saw you work on the forward momentum of the head bone, x rotation axis, and not the head.
