i just linked in the model and started animating and when i try and copy paste for example it says no selected f curve to paste into
The most direct answer would be because there are "no selected f curves to paste into".
Help me trouble shoot what's happening...Blender can get a bit crazy and I'm on a train at the moment.
Looks like you have Bicep.R selected in the graph editor. Does that expand out anymore? If so are the options below it selectable?
Does the curve change at all when you select a key directly in the graph editor? Is box select a thing in the graph editor? (left click and drag over some keys and see if you can do that. If that ends up working I bet some of the other tools work too....try hitting C on the keyboard to make sure circle select works.) Something here has got to activate those curves.
Keep me updated with what you find out. We'll get you animating bud! ;)
lets say i try and move or duplicate or copy paste this y curve, it does not let m. i cant adjust the curve either with handles
Hi, taking a wild guess. Look at the dope sheet, action editor are there multiple users? Notice the blue arrow has a number 2 under it.
You need to click on that so it isn't linked.
Now I think you should be able to edit the graph editor. Good luck.
I don't think that is a wild guess T.
I think you are right on the money.
Puddles, it might be that the rig file has an action attached to the rig when you are linking it in.
This data can't be edited (because it's not actually in the current file)
If Tanya's solution works. Go into the rig file and click the X next to that action in the Action Editor.
That way it won't be pushed into your linked files.
Hope that makes sense.
