I know that Jonathan @jlampel has been using Blender for over a decade. That's about the same as I and I'm a slow learner.
Now, there is of course no need for you to feel stupid; you ask good questions (curiosity, although not absolutely necessary, really helps in learning 3D) and one shouldn't forget, that you learn a lot more from making mistakes, than when everything goes smoothly.
The nodes seems less natural to me. I understand, but it will come with time. @jlampel, it's his job. It's just a hobby for me.
I stopped temporary Pothead to do the essential of texturing. I almost gone through the whole course in one day. I will finish today. Then get back to pothead.
