    Solution

    Hi eernandes13 .

The confusion is completely understandable; what used to be called Grease Pencil (before 2.80), is now called Annotate:

Now, Grease Pencil is an Object with much more possibilities, but is not suited for outlining topology on a Mesh or simply adding some handwritten notes and so.

This is some good WBW material. I myself just remembered that annotate used to be called grease pencil. Cool question.
