That is so weird ddough__run ,

Could you post a link to your .blend please?

  • Martin Bergwerf replied

    Hey ddough__run ,

    What a great creature!

The only thing I can think of, is turning off the GPU Subdivision in your Preferences:

    GPUSubd.png

Worked perfectly after that, when I tried it, but I used a different (but similar) Alpha. Next time better pack all the Textures in the .blend before sharing, please.

    thanks man appreciate it

Wasn't there a limit method or something? This brings back memories of a setting that depending on the angle of the face, the brush would make a stroke or not and you had to tweak it in order for the brush to lay down a stroke on harsher angles. @theluthier Kent might know better.

update: also happens in weight paint

    Hi Doran,

That looks almost as if there is a Mirror Modifier on the monkey head; you can only paint on the mesh side, not on the mirrored one...

Or is this a GPU Subdiv problem again?

  • doran yakovi(dough__run) replied
there is a mirror modifier but the problem is happening in both side of the mesh.
  • Omar Domenech replied
Just to test, give your scene a Save As so you can test to your hearts content. The first thing to do is to apply that mirror modifier, see if the problem goes away. Also apply any other modifiers and shape keys, keyframes, whatever your model has and test again. Check your normals, see if you have some inverted, apply your scale and test again. See if the situation changes a bit.
