Looking for Job Advice

Jobs

Hi everyone, I wanted to start out by saying that I find it very difficult to really reach out and ask for help, especially when its work related, but I feel everyone here has been really polite so I really appreciate all of you for that.

I thought I'd reach out here to ask about job advice. I have been working hard over the past year to create a portfolio in the direction of Architectural Visualization, and have been putting effort into applying over the last week. My current approach has been to find jobs through websites like LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and Indeed, and, if possible, apply directly on the employers website as well. If I see an available email, I'll send my stuff in through there too. I also try to reach out directly to people through LinkedIn.

My question would be what are some other avenues I could go with to increase my chances of getting hired. I'm not sure if their are better ways of landing work then others, and any advice that you have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Hot dangs dude, I think your renders speak for themselves, those are really freaking good. I have been obsessed with archiviz for the longest time, since with all the freelance work I did, working with architectures doing their visualizations was the least frustrating of doing freelance gigs. Doing realistic interior renders is so hard, and you have nailed it.

I think you're in the right path, applying like you're currently doing with those services such as linkedIn or applying directly and sending emails. That's what people do when looking for a job. Apart from that I'd also keep expanding my portfolio of work, keep filling up with those amazing renders, that is really important. Lastly I'd say have patience, it can be a couple of months until you are hired.

Also maybe as much as I'd hate it, post stuff on social media with hastag, those really do grab attention. Are your renders done in Blender? In the past I have found it so hard to get that sweet white clean global illumination in interior renders, Blender struggled with that, I needed away too much samples. Vray on the other hand was extremely good at that.

Thanks for the reply Omar, glad you like my work! Funny enough, I got a message today over email regarding a contract opportunity, so I am currently working through their workflow to see if it's a good fit. Like you said, I think I just have to be more patient, I'm already starting on some new stuff too. All my modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering are all done in Blender, and then I do compositing and adjustments with Photoshop. I'm currently learning 3DS Max and V-Ray. I really enjoy how easy V-Ray 6 makes compositing, so I may do the modeling in blender, and then export things over to 3DS Max to do the rendering in my next project. Thank you for your thoughts and feedback :) .

Well, your Blender renders are looking as if they came out of Vray. Keep doing awesome work, more awesome interior renders is what will get you hired for sure.

Hello. How are your job searches going? Have you started working in this field yet? I agree with Omar, it's a great approach to look for jobs through platforms like LinkedIn or by sending direct emails. Expanding your portfolio with such amazing renders is crucial. And finally, be patient; it might take a few months before you land a job.
