Hi guys.

The teacher doesnt explain how he insert the reference image in Blender, so that we can zoom some section of it to see the details.

How do we do it? thx for your help. :-)

    Solution

    Hi Max,

Just create a new area somewhere and change that to an Image Editor. You can then load the Reference Image there.

If you hover the Mouse Pointer over any corner of an area untill it changes into something like a plus sign:

    Split_1.png

you can then drag up (or down) or  to the right (or left) to split that area into two.

You can also hover over an edge untill you get something like a double arrow:

    Split_2.png

then right click and choose Horizontal (or Vertical) Split from the dropdown menu.

Change the area you want into an Image Editor via the dropdown, or use the shortcut SHIFT= F10 and Open the Reference:

    Split_3.png

(And I just noticed that there is an error in the Blender Tooltip!)

You can also add your image in the viewport as a reference image or as a background image. So with Shift + A under image you can see both options. With the reference image you can have them as an empty object in the viewport while with background the imagine is only visible in orthographic view.
