I am on a Windows 10 Home. For me I had to copy and past the folder into C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender 3.3\3.3\scripts\startup\bl_app_templates_system Not sure why install application template Did not work for me.
Interesting, Craig! I am on the same Windows set up. Let me try and get some screen grabs to see if this helps...
Let's make sure the file names are all correct first (this is the start up file I created) The .zip file should be named as what you want your preset to be. Inside the zip should be a folder with the same name. Inside that, the .blend file should simply be called "startup.blend"
Next, here is where you install:
Select the ZIP FILE - not the folder.
When you select "File>>New" it should show up.
Downloading...
Testing...
I can confirm from Paul's instructions above, the 2D illustration template installs successfully.
Note: On completion of downloading the master file, unzip to a location on your computer. (Only the master file, Not zipped files contained within).
I also had some issues, but when I followed these steps very carefully, it worked.
It wasn't working for me too, but after changing the blend file to the right name it worked, Thanks a lot..
I am running Arch Linux and this worked.
But the file "startup.blend" has to be EXACTLY startup.blend
But the default color does start as green as it did in the video. But everything else worked fine.
Not working for me. Are we saying that when downloading the course files, we're NOT supposed to makes sure everything is unzipped?
