issue with the handles when moving with "e" or "g"

Question Animation

Hallo dear Community

When I mark all frames with "a" and then try to move them along an axis that one handle does not move as I wish.

It seems that it is because the "frame slider" is on the left and is the reason for it but I don't know why....

hope the video makes sense and someone can explain it to me why this is.

thank you very much

That is for sure weird. Have you tried changing the handle type? You can change them with "V" with your cursor on the graph editor. Try Aligned handle type. You seem to have them in "Free" but they shouldn't move like that. Probably Wayne has seen that or anyone who does animation frequently. In the N panel of the graph editor you have options for each handle as well.

    Hi Martin,

Never seen that before....it's very weird indeed!

Like Omar said, see if you can move those handles in the N-panel.

Maybe add a link to that file, so we can rule out/see if it might be hardware related...

This issue is not always present, it only happens occasionally. Today (I haven't change any settings) it is not a problem. I don't know what this causes but will keep an eye on it.

I did not change the handle types and they can be moved in the N - Panel.

who knows what it is maybe it was a ghost from 5th Dimension playing on my hard drive.... 👻 or a unicorns wand

Hey Martin, are your drivers up to date (mainly the GPU)? What version of Blender do you use and did you try another version?

Those 'only happening sometimes' problems are the worst!

Maybe it's because Halloween is coming closer...

I will get over my drivers.... good point. thank you.... and yeah Halloween.... it's coming

This looks like the offset function (E).

When you press E with all keyframes selected and your mouse is to the right of the current frame all frames to the right will be offset (moved), and all keyframes to the left if the mouse is to the left.

Do you have any add-ons that may change hotkey function?

  • mastart replied

    Hi Adrian

No, nothing new installed and no Add-ons updated.

It doesn't matter if I use "E" or "G". Sometimes it effected more sometimes less "handles" and it had nothing (nothing) to do with the handle type.

    thank you

Blender is becoming self-aware. This is it people, when we're on a Matrix kinda world, it all started in Martin's computer.
