I guess the skin modifier wont get you perfect results, you fiddle the best you can but in the end I think you're going to have to do some manual adjustments after you apply it. But while you have the skin modifier you could try on a vert doing Control + A to adjust the radius and that helps a ton. Also try moving the root around. So you select a vert and on the modifier you mark it as root and that also mves things around and helps. Try that on different verts. Hope that helps.

Thank you Omar! Ctrl + A is THE THING that fixed it for me! I was having difficulties with the skin method and started to think that anyway there is no way to scale the mesh since it is made from vertices which cannot be scaled, since they are vertices. haha But, where the hell does that Ctrl + A comes from? I just checked in the key-binding. I have a "Mesh - Skin Resize" bound to it. So it would be a hot key specific to the Skin modifier ?

Is there a way to have like a comprehensive list of hot key for each modifier or possible actions at a given step? I was searching is such an add-on exists. That would be great for beginner. Anyway, I was lucky to find your comment my friend! Thank you!

EDIT: Ctrl + A Skin radius was actually explained like 30 seconds ahead in the video ! XD
