Unable to select object in edit mode

Question

I'm on version 3.2.0 for Blender and I've noticed that randomly I'll be unable to select objects. How can I fix this? As an example I'm not able to select this Circle or Cylinder.

I've made sure that I have the right tool option to do selections and that the objects are selectable.

No matter how many times I restart what I'm doing this continues to happen. Not sure what's going on.

Solution

Hi @halleykc ,

You are in Face Select Mode, but the Circle you are trying to select doesn't have any Face...

This still happens to me sometimes :)

Just switch to Vertex, or Edge Select Mode.

Oh, and you can't select the Cylinder, because that is in Object Mode....You can still select the Cylinder in the Outliner, if you want..
