Copy Attributes Menu

Any reason why you would use the Copy Attributes Menu addon over the default Ctrl-L menu for copying modifiers?

Hi Andy, it has a lot more options than the default CTRL+L and if you need those, you will be better off, using the Addon...but then it makes sense to use CTRL+C all the time, instead of CTRL+L for some and CTRL+C for other situations...

The behavior for the Modifiers is at the moment the same, which ever method you use.

There is a difference in the Undo behavior, though, if you Undo a CTRL+C, it (also) undoes the action before the 'Modcopy'.

Yeah that copy attributes addon has saved my behind a couple of time, it is great, specially for the copying of the transforms. The CTRL + L menu links stuff and doesn't allow you to copy transforms. So I have that copy attributes addon enabled all the time.

I actually learned something so I am just glad to see this question. Copy Attributes for the win when needed.

    Hey Beggsy.

Honestly, it's probably more of a habit because of the behaviour of Ctl+L.
This will wipe out any existing modifiers and replace them with the 'copied' data.  (just like the default copy constraints to selected)

But the add-on will let you select any particular modifiers (or constraint etc) without wiping out the existing ones.

There's probably cases where CTRL L, will do what I need, but I can sometimes not remember what existing modifiers I have on different objects.

And in 3.2 - now that add-on actually copies custom properties too yay!  That's great for rigging.
But it's still annoying as !$%# to animate with, and there is a bug when you disable it (you need to restart blender to stop it from throwing an error after you turn it off and try to copy a pose)
