Avery's Progress
Shawn's Progress
My daughter and I got some courses by Mitch Leeuwe for 2D drawing. We were excited to post progress to his discord but he didn't end up having one. So I had the idea.....why not post here on CGCookie. We'll be posting our sketch progresses as we complete them together.
Nice work @Avery, 💯 Excellent.
Not too bad blanchsb , need to work on the tail placement
Next Lesson: The chicken and line of action
Alright, soo….we didn’t want to draw the chicken but we wanted the skill from it. A little improv and we both felt glad we didn’t skip it.
Next lesson: The Cat with line of action
Avery stuck to her guns on this one while I tried my hand at a trash panda.
Next lesson my son also wanted in on the 2D art: this time we did a Raccoon 🦝
My youngest wanted his back rubbed while we worked so he told me to use my other non dominant hand.
Then my youngest wanted to do the “duck” lesson that we did earlier. So, he gets a post too!
Next lesson was a pig 🐽. My favorite animal. My daughter and I shifted the body over too far away from the head but my son Owen nailed it!
Yes they are all cute!
He’s not angry, but he’s definitely got a devious smile because there is cabbage patch in his sights (off page) and he knows just what to do with it.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. We did another Mitch Lesson today:
Today’s focus was an anthropomorphic character. The whole Blanch clan joined in again. I decided my torso section was looking ant-like so I went with it. Avery went for a cheetah and Owen and Wyatt went traditional with following the cat ref.
We did another Mitch lesson last night. We had a bedtime crunch so we stuck with a head only. This one gave me and Avery trouble but Owen was all over it.
Mine ended up looking more like a bear cub.
Sorry i know this is an old post but i am legit doing the samething with my kids today was saying to the mrs, think a goood practise is to try and model there designs in basic shapes for now :) love the drawings.
