Lesson learned: Keep the brush strokes short and intentional

posted to: Facial Feature Swap

I realized in this lesson specifically that it is very easy to start making drastic moves as I get 'into a rhythm', only to then forget to look at my sculpt from other angles and realize my sculpt was WAY off!!

Also - I'm attempting to follow some headshots I took from myself but I'm finding this  incredibly difficult because I have to accept certain aspects of my face that I'm not as fond of (like my big nose lol!)

    Great advice sandmansndr,

The good thing is you can sculpt your nose however you like, no one will ever know.

    Great tip! Thanks for sharing.

You're right that self-portraits are a funny thing. It's a very valuable exercise in some ways but also kind of humbling or even existential in other ways 😅

sandmansndr I'm having a similar experience with my huge infraorbital rims. I knew that I had them, but I didn't KNOW. Now I can look at everyone on her side of the family that's over 60 and see just how dark and just how puffy they're gonna get 😅
