So I ran into an issue with the subdivision tool, I suppose a mesh one. When I do a subdivision, and bring the verts up or down, some do it smoothly, while others are distorted cave in look.

I may of found a solution, albeit a probably improper way of doing it, but I just hit ALT-F which filled it.
