Text version of video narration

Collaborations

I'm new to Blender and 3D graphics.  However, I'm not new to digital 2D graphics.  That makes some of this a little less daunting.  However, the videos are not easy to follow because the instructions come and go so quickly.  I spend as much time hitting rewind and trying to find everything that's happening on the screen.   So my question is, are there text documents that accompany the video so that I can read what I'm supposed to be doing?

If there are no text versions, can someone tell me how you get the video player to keep playing without having  to refresh the page over and over.  Maybe it doesn't like that I have to hit pause and rewind so much?  As you can imagine it's very frustrating.

Thanks for any help you might be able to provide.

I don't know if this helps, but it works for me. In the top left of the video players overlay there are 2 icons. the one on the left jumps back a few seconds. This works better than clicking in the timeline at the bottom. I use the second one a lot when I'm trying to follow along with blender. You can click it and it creates a copy of the link at that point in the video this way I can paste(ctrl+v on windows & Linux. Sorry I don't know on mac) in another tab then I can rewatch and just refresh if I need to see that part again. then when I get a little further. I copy again and continue. You can also click on the cog icon(Settings) in the bar at the bottom and change the speed to slower for detailed parts and speed up through the parts you don't need to rewatch.  Also most of the the videos have closed captions. if you click the CC icon you can click search and it shows all the closed caption text. I don't use this much except when I can't understand what they are saying.(Note:I'm partially def)

Thanks.  I tried downloading the video and playing it with Quicktime.  That is working well as I can just hit the spacebar to pause and restart.  I'm going to muscle through, lol.

    Hey mmrsefs ,

Another tip for you, I find it useful to watch a lesson through once before I open Blender,

then play it again and follow along in Blender.

This way you have a idea of what you are trying to achieve.

    Happy Blending!
