Shading the Orbot

I dont know why, i have these tiny dots on the lens of my orbot. I pluged 4K Textures  in and rendered it with 500 sample.

    Hey acribit ,

    Looks great, the white dots on the lens is noise from the glass. 500 samples is not enough when using textures that have refraction.

    You want to pump this up quite a lot to reduce it and turn on the denoiser, try 1024 samples to start with, then 2048, 4096, until your happy.

    Also under light paths in the render properties , check the number of bounces for transmission is high enough, if you have 12 as the total set transmission to 12.

    Yeah, glass generally creates a lot of noise like Adrian mentioned. I just tested out the scene using 3.0 and the denoiser cleans it up nicely!
