So I'm working my way through the texture painting section of the Pothead course and have run into a color issue with my textures I just can't resolve. I was able to paint a texture for the pot without a hitch. Then when I worked on the head itself for about a half hour, I saved both the texture file and the blender file. However, when I went back to it some time later, the entire texture was significantly darker and unusable. I went back to an earlier version of the file and duplicated the results exactly. After about five tries and several wasted hours, I thought I would throw the matter out to my fellow cookie members. What would cause a shift in color of an entire texture, merely by saving it, closing it out, and reopening?
I may have figured it out but still don’t understand it all. It seems that I now have two textures, one normal and a corrupted darker one. The odd thing is that I’m not sure where the bad one resides on my system. I can choose the bad texture within the blend file but I only have the good texture showing in my project folder.
