Hey, can you post screen shots ? (Scene settings, composition)

If you delete or didn't select a camera your render would be black, yours is white, maybe you used a mix node in composition tab mixing your image to white and missed a connection?

Or maybe you accidentally hid the folder of your objects for your render?

Or your camera is outside a universe object you use, but then you shouldn't be able to render an image either

the output i get is a black background with the grids, the camera is pointing to the model

  • SĂ©bastien Lenaerts(slenaerts) replied

ttitogore , I can't see any light source in your collections (maybe hidden) , if it is all black, then probably this might be a problem.

The fact you see the grid lines hints me that this could be the case.  Can you confirm?

  • titus gore(titogore) replied

i have a light source, its in the rockest asset

  • titus gore(titogore) replied

though i do not check that box , but i duplicated the light with the rocket and camera when attaching the fins of the rocket stage, and i did not mention when i begun the project they said delete everything but i did not delete the cam and light!! at the very beginning

  • titus gore(titogore) replied

i found the error, now rendering thanks

  • titus gore(titogore) replied

my camera dimensions....the error it said not divisible by 2!

so i used preset camera 1080p

  • SĂ©bastien Lenaerts(slenaerts) replied

Ah, happy you found the culprit 🙂! Good launch!

    Hey ttitogore ,

You shouldn't need a light if you added the HDRI. This will illuminate the scene.

If you are seeing the grid lines this tells me you are rendering the viewport animation and not the camera render.

To render the camera you can use CTRL + F12 for animation or F12 for an image.

The ROCKET ASSET collection should be left unchecked.

Thank you! I have never seen this before ;) It is an external library problem (MPEG4 in this case, but AVI also can't handle it...)

I haven't tried all codecs, but OGG can render odd dimensions.
