Just noticed the 2.92 version of Animation Nodes. I dabbled very briefly with this years ago. Does Geometry Nodes make this redundant, or is it still worth looking at both?
Those two are completely different. Although you can animate values in Geometry Nodes and thus create some simple 'animation-effects', it is being made (still in early development stage) for modeling and set dressing. The 2.92 splash screen was made with Geometry Nodes. That should give you an idea of what it can do (when you stretch GN to its 'limits'...)
OK thanks, that's interesting. In that case I'll persist with Animation Nodes. I'm sure the logic within this and GN must at least partially overlap, so hopefully I'll get dual benefit.
