I've been playing around with Blender for a number of years but until I found this site I didn't realize how little I knew.
I would like to be able to rig a character with clothes that flow as real clothes do as the character moves. What courses/ tutorials would anyone recommend .
Thanks
Hi Tobles, Thanks for your reply. It wasn't the answer I was hoping for. I've found that the youtube tuts. are OK at describing what to do but aren't too hot at explaining what to do when things don't go according to plan.
I've seen an addon in Blender Nation called Clothes in Motion. Have you or anyone had experience with this. Does it do all it claims to do?
Thanks
Hi John,
Yeah I don't think we have anything on cloth simulation for animated characters.
I'm not an expert in that field as all the all the animation and rigging I deal with doesn't use sim for the clothes. They are just skinned to the armature.
I do know that Blender Pirate (Jeannot Landry) is working on a course at the moment that covers Hair and Cloth.

But I don't know when this will be released.
As for the "Clothes in Motion" add-on. I haven't used it, it does look pretty handy although all the examples feel like the cloth is moving too much for the material it is meant to be made from - if you know what I mean. But maybe there's a easy way to edit that in the add-on.
Sorry if this is another answer you weren't hoping for :(
