svetimas This is looking really cool πŸ‘! You even thought about how the bars are connected instead of just sticking one bar into the next one πŸ‘!Β

    @theluthier

I have decided to add more detail in wood during sculpting process. Still I am thinking of how the canopy should be correctly attached to the building.

lovely, wonderfull work, i love the details you put in it :)Β

after you will do some wood sculpting it will finish the piece for sure :D

Trying to catch up with week2 ....

  • Ingmar Franz(duerer) replied

    Excellent πŸ˜€πŸ‘!

  • Kent Trammell replied

I agree with Ingmar: Excellent progress so far! The only note I will offer is possibly beat up the edges a bit more with the scrape brush. They're a still a bit sharp / precise to me. But that's honestly a very minor note.

No worries about catching up on sculpting. Several people need more time to finish sculpting. Week 4 is a buffer week for this purpose. Keep up the good work!

Forgot to tag you svetimas ☝️

Messed up completely during plank sculpting, forgot to turn on brush to modify only front faces... Β Baking from high poly mesh on low poly in Substance painter looks good. Of course need more knowledge to use it in full potential. Β At the moment using 2k textures, at 1k it doesn't look so good but as it wont be close up shots it should be ok.

    Awesome πŸ˜€πŸ‘!!!

  • Kent Trammell replied

Oh my oh my..this looks beautiful svetimas! WOW πŸ‘

I've only a minor concern about the wood looking too realistic compared to the art and other assets. But I'd like to see what can be done in the shader.Β

    [looks for your .blend file]

AHHH can you sync your .blend and textures asap?? I'm dying to get my hands of this model 🀩

  • Simon Buz(svetimas) replied

Thanks! I'll try to sync before tomorrows cast, still have to fix some stuff. 1k texture will fix that "too realistic" issue πŸ˜€Β

  • Simon Buz(svetimas) replied

@theluthier , is everything good, blend file and textures files OK?

  • Ingmar Franz(duerer) replied

    Tagging again @theluthier .

  • Kent Trammell replied

I've got your .blend + textures and they load beautifully! I tweaked your material a bit, namely introducing a dirty vertex component. Your model has lovely stylized cracks built into it but nothing in the material emphasized it. Here's the updated master in the assembly:

It looks so good! Fantastic job squeezing every bit of fidelity out of your 1K textures πŸ‘

Thanks for joining the Collab! It's been a pleasure working with you svetimas 🀝

svetimas Your wooden canopy is a feast for the eyes πŸ˜€πŸ‘! It was a pleasure to have you in our team πŸ˜€!
