Infinite Plane Effect

Hi, everyone!

I've recently been wondering how you achieve an "infinite plane" type of effect where you don't see the other end of the place. For example: 

I'm assuming it's something with the camera's DOF, or volumetrics to slowly fade out the background, but I'm sure many of you have way better solutions than I can come up with.

    I'm pretty sure it's called a mist pass but I don't know much about how to do one

    That's definitely one way! Here's how to use it: 

    Turn it on:

    Preview the distance from the camera if you want:

    Adjust the distance in the World tab:

    Create a new View Layer with just the sky:

    Render, head to the Compositing workspace, and combine like so:
