Hmnm, I'm using the latest version of Blender and I still see Offset Even for both Extrude Along Normals (toolbar) and Shrink/Fatten (Alt+S). Can you share what your redo panel looks like?

This is on the Mac, but i have the same issue on the PC

  • Jonathan Lampel replied

Ah, that's because it's Extrude Region instead of Extrude Along Normals, which we switch to at 5:45

    Hi Jonathan

Firstly I really appreciate you coming back to me.

Now I have tried absolutely everything. Extrude region, normals, global, individual. You name it, but none of them have the box with offset even.

I've realised that this is just a barrier and have stopped me going forward, so am now just pushing on without it.

I know the end result will not be as good, but its more about understanding overall processes rather than an individual step. No doubt it will reveal itself sometime in the future (Unless yo can see I'm doing something glaringly obvious lol)

    But thanks anyway

    Ian

    FYI

When I got further into the lesson, I used the Alt S trick with the extrusion and viola, there's the offset even button.

I'm going to attempt the whole lesson again :-)

Great, glad that did the trick!
