For some reason, I can't leave an answer under my work, so I'll leave it here - thanks for the feedback!

Exercise rules fulfilled, so I give it a pass. I like the model, but there are some strange shading issues, that make it hard for me to understand what I am looking at:

Also the Wireframe shows a, to say it mildly; strange topology:

Don't know how much of that is due to Sketchfab's viewer....

    Anyway, congrats on passing!

    spikeyxxx Thanks for your feedback!)
I don't know how to show the model correctly in Sketchfab, but this is how it looks in Blender

As for the topology - of course, I'm just getting started, so I got confused with the treads. First, I applied the Array modifier (first picture below), and then - Bezier Curve (second picture below), and this is what happened:

If you have a hint of what went wrong here, I'll be grateful)

Hard to tell from the screenshots, but maybe your Array Count is too high, so the the segments go around the circle more than once:

Yes, you are right! I could not connect tread, therefore - two layers. If I set Fix Curve - the length is not enough, if I set Fix Count - it is not clear how to connect so that there is no overlap:

With tires I prefer to use a Simple Deform (Bend) Modifier, which you can set to 360°, so you don't have to worry about fitting exactly. Here's a small, unedited demo of my workflow, if you are interested (going a bit further and using drivers, but you can watch the first part up till the Bend...):

spikeyxxx Thank you! ❤ Oh, one more question. I add this modifier, it works, but when I try to move tread, this scale it instead. What could be the reason?

  • spikeyxxx replied

If you've done everything correct, then moving the tread up or down, then the tire scales. When moving it left or right (when looking at it from the side), it rotates (on the spot) . When moving it on the remaining axis, it just moves like it is, as if no Modifiers were used.

Usually, when you'd want to animate the wheel in any way, you'd Apply the Modifiers (the wheel wouldn't be able to 'turn', rotate on the Z-axis., otherwise)

Unless you get creative with parenting it does get very hard to keep things together non-destructively. (You could always parent to an empty or a plane/helper object).

Spikey's Tire demo is one of the finest on tire creation that I have seen.
